BPSC: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have knowledge regarding the vacancies which are available in Bihar Public Service Commission as it is helpful for the appearing in the examination of BPSC 67th 2021. Graduation or equivalent degree form a government recognized University is important for the purpose of appearing for the exam.

Physical Criteria
Any candidate will be selected by organization of Bihar Public Service Commission which will be after there will be proper success which will be filled with the educational and the physical criteria which is prescribed by the organization.

Application Fees
Candidates belonging to general category will have to pay ₹600 as application fees, ₹150/- for SC/ST category candidates of the state, ₹150/- for disabled. The application fees should be paid online through net banking, debit/credit card.
BPSC EXAM FORMAT
The selection includes the examination process which will be held for the purpose of selecting candidates for BPSC 67th Recruiotment test 2021. There will be three stages in the exam after which the candidate will get the chance to serve Bihar Public Service Commission.

NO. OF ATTEMPTS
1. There is no restriction on the number of attempts as long as candidates full the age criteria.
2. For government employees who have been in continuous service for at least three years:
- Number of Attempts: 3
- Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: 5 years
3. For Persons with Disability (PwD), the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
4. Ex-servicemen who are not above 53 years of age, can avail BPSC age relaxation of three years plus the number of years in service.
BPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
There will be total 150 objective types of questions and the total marks is 150 for every candidate. There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer.

BPSC Mains Exam Pattern
The candidates are called for the BPSC main exam only if they qualify in the BPSC Prelims Exam and secure the required cut-off marks as decided by the Commission. Since, the BPSC Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature so it does not matter what one scores. The BPSC Main Exam have a qualifying paper General Hindi. Apart from this, there will be General Studies Paper 1 and General Studies Paper 2 carrying 300 marks each. There will be an Optional Paper that the candidate has chosen earlier while filling the Application Form. The Optional Paper carries 300 marks. The list of the 34 Optional Subjects has been given below.

Important Points:
1. General Hindi Paper is qualifying in nature (30 % Marks required), Its marks will not be considered in the calculation of merit list.
2. Questions of General Studies are available in Hindi and English both.
3. The score will be arrived at by considering the total of 900 marks in GS Paper 1, GS Paper 2 and Optional Paper.
4. The candidates who are placed suitably in the merit are called for the interview.
5. There is no negative marking in the descriptive question papers.
6. Candidates need to attempt all the papers to qualify for the Interview round.
7. This round is both scoring and qualifying in nature.
BPSC Syllabus for Mains Exam
Qualifying Paper: General Hindi
The paper of General Hindi will be qualifying in nature. The syllabus for the qualifying paper is of the level as that of Bihar School Education Board (BSEB). The paper will be of 100 marks and subjective in nature; and the distribution of the marks is as follows: Essay: 30 Marks Grammar: 30 Marks Syntax: 25 Marks Summarisation: 15 Marks Out of the 100 marks, candidates are required to secure the qualifying marks in the paper. For this qualifying paper, a good book of school standard is enough.
General Studies Papers
Until now, every paper that the candidates have appeared is of qualifying nature. The BPSC Prelims Exam and the General Hindi paper are just qualifying in nature. These papers marks does not included in the merit lists. The actual BPSC exam starts now with the General Studies Papers and the Optional Paper. There are two Papers for the General Studies and one for the Optional. Each Paper carries 300 marks making the total marks from all these papers to be 900.
